What can the Rack Aid Package do for you? Are you sure you know the law?

The Rack Group is here to provide you with everything required to meet European standards 15635, regarding the application and maintenance of storage equipment. The Rack Aid Package contains the 5 key elements which The Rack Group can offer to keep you safely within the law. We also know that when damage and accidents occur in a warehouse, it is fundamental to get it repaired and the operation of the warehouse running smoothly again.

Section 9 of the EN15635 states a management procedure shall exist that covers the following:

A)     Use the storage system in accordance with its specification;
B)     Appoint a person responsible for storage equipment safety (PRSES)
C)     Carry out inspections
D)     Carry out maintenance
E)      Damage Reduction.

This is why the Rack Aid Package covers:

1- Safety Inspections
Our competent team of inspectors are able to carry out inspections and leave you a hard copy when they leave. Our data pen technology means we can automatically provide a quote for what we find when carrying out the inspection within one week. If you join our full package, we will also be able to keep our record of your racking which means we are able to react quickly if a repair is needed.

2- Planned Maintenance
Using the whole package means we are able to keep a record of what you need and what racking you have. This means any maintenance we do can be achieved quickly without any hassle. It’s easier and safer for everybody concerned if maintenance is proactive and not reactive.

3- Specialist Equipment
Again, the idea is simple. Using the full package means when a repair is necessary, The Rack Group will already be aware of your existing racking and how your company works. We can keep stock of your racking on your behalf which means our specialist equipment to repair an upright can be organised and used as quickly as possible.

4- Racking Protection
Our partner company ‘Rack Armour’ are the specialists in warehouse protection. The Rack Armour upright protector is able to reduce warehouse damage by up to 80%. Rack Armour is also able to offer a wide range of barriers for either end of aisle protection or to create bespoke parameters and protection areas.

5- Training
Rack Training is another partner company of The Rack Group. Rack Training is here to make sure that you and your staff are properly trained and knowledgeable about pallet racking. As part of EN15635 guidelines is to have a person responsible for storage equipment safety, Rack Training are able to provide the information and qualification to make somebody in your company that person by providing them with the knowledge and confidence to carry out the duties of that role. RACK TRAINING NOW ONLINE!!!

Ever thought that pallet racking training would be easier if it were available online? That’s what we thought at Rack Training and we've made it happen!
Here at Rack Training, our classroom and on site courses are something we are very proud of. We are able to deliver a high quality teaching through use of our vast knowledge and experience. With a balance of classroom teaching and hands on practical explanations we are able to deliver the information you need to pass our courses. However, an online setting also offers a number of benefits that a classroom cannot provide whilst still providing the same high standard of learning.

Rack Training’s E-Learning is able to offer a range of online classes which are presented to the pupil on screen. Being able to provide this allows for staff to complete all courses within a convenient location.

Whether the course is for yourself or your employees, the benefit of being able to complete the course in a time and place that suits you is one that stands out as it prevents disruption from work and any last minute changes cause less stress as there is no commitment to when the course takes place.

In conjunction with this, the E-learning course takes away the pressures from classroom learning. Modules are completed at the pace of the user as they are the ones in control, if something is not understood, you can go back and check it. This is something that we wanted to make fundamental to the online courses; therefore, we have put a lot of time in making the software easy to use and simple to understand. In turn, the goal of focusing on the course and being able to pass can be easily achieved. Don’t worry though, if the pass level isn’t met, the quiz style tests which occur throughout the process can be re taken again and again until the minimum target is reached, giving the user a relaxing yet rewarding experience.

Another benefit of Rack Training’s E-learning course is the ability to offer a standardisation of learning and knowledge through a uniformed message. This ensures your team has the same level of proficient knowledge on board with them whilst they carry out their duties.

Upon completion of the course, you will receive a completion certificate in the chosen field, this is given as a printable PDF which can be archived and saved. The first course, available now, focuses on ‘Pallet Racking Safety Awareness’ aimed at those new to warehouse environments and pallet racking in general. In the near future we will be adding to our online course library turning all our industry leading classroom based courses into an E-Learning equivalent

Want to enhance your warehouse space?

Often within warehouses your small single pick items create dead space by failing to use all the available room within a bay. However, other larger single pick items take up too much room which prevents you from storing the desired amount. The adaptable dividers of The Rack Group Pick Bin allow for maximisation of available storage within an allocated slot by breaking down valuable, empty space and turning it into an asset.

Designed to increase safety and functionality in small pick areas, The Rack Group’s Pick Bin is an exciting product that could be a solution to your picking issues.

The Pick Bin is a combination of steel frames and dividers which fit within the existing bays of racking. By using the pick bin you are immediately able to enhance warehouse productivity. The bins that you create can be bespoke to the products your company handles, meaning single pick products, or, fast moving products can be placed in an ideal location within the racking.

The Rack Group have independently carried out the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) test. This test uses a scoring system assessing the level of tension and movement for individual areas of the body as they move away from their natural state in specific scenarios, in this case picking. Picking can cause long term injury’s often to the knees, joints, back and shoulders due to the nature of the job.

By putting our Pick Bin to the test in comparison to similar products on the market we were able to adjust designs to improve the ergonomic benefits without losing out on the efficiency of the product. This is just one of the many advantages The Rack Group Pick Bin has over similar products.
As The Rack Group are specialists in warehouse storage equipment safety, the fundamental goal of the pick bin was to increase warehouse productivity and safety in agreement. This goal has been achieved by producing a product that lowers tensions and stresses in movement of picking staff whilst increasing the availability of storage space which is in demand. The adaptable dividers and frames enable warehouse storage space to be used efficiently as well as providing economic benefits as the capital expenditure increases with the overall space gained.

Ideal for enhancing production all year round, the Pick Bin stands out during hectic peak seasons by maximising functionality and minimising wasted space.

Sacrificial Leg

Racking Systems are constantly under attack from Fork Lift Trucks and inevitable damage occurs. However 90% of the damage only occurs in the the first 1000mm of the upright. Why replace the whole upright when only a small percentage of the upright is damaged. With the help of Sacrificial Leg you only need to replace the part of the upright that is defective.
